Frequently Asked Questions About the Cafe
Can I bring my drinks/snacks into the cat lounge?
Yes! We just ask that you do not bring in pastries or coffee from other shops (unless previously arranged, like a birthday cake), and that you do not share your drinks and snacks with the cats.
Eww…cats and food?!
While cat hair in your food may be the most authentic cat ownership experience, you don’t have to worry about that at affoGATO Cat Cafe. We partner with local bakers and cooks to prepare all of our food off-site, and the cafe is in a separate room than the cat lounge. Each side even has its own HVAC system!
Do you have vegan, gluten free, or sugar free options? (and options for other dietary concerns?)
We strive to offer a variety of beverages and pastries so that everyone can have a great experience. We typically have:
Vegan:
• Milk alternatives such as soy, almond, and oat milk for our drinks. There is no extra charge!
• Mitchell’s vegan ice cream for our affoGATO and pop-o-GATO
• At least one vegan bakery item (check out our items from Totally Sweet!)
Gluten-Free:
• All of our current drink options except the sugar-free vanilla are gluten-free. However, our seasonal flavors and grab n go change frequently, so please double check with the barista!
• We always try to have at least one gluten free bakery item (usually muffins)
Sugar-Free:
• We always try to have at least one sugar-free syrup available for our drinks
If you aren’t sure if a menu item meets your dietary needs, please ask our barista for more info! We take allergies and dietary restrictions extremely seriously.
I’ve heard cats love milk! Can I share my drink with the cats?
Milk and many other human foods are actually unhealthy for cats. Our staff already feeds the cats their own food that is tasty and nutritious, so please don’t share any food or drink with the cats.
