From the shelter:

“Meet Sapphire: She’s 7 years of pure sass, and no, she does not have time for your nonsense.

This old gal’s not here for your nonsense. She might look cute, but don’t get too close unless you’re ready for a friendly reminder that she’s in charge. One wrong move, and you’ll feel the wrath of her mighty paw.

She loves her naps, her food, and definitely not being picked up. Approach with care—she’s been around long enough to know how to keep you in line.

But don’t worry, if you give her some space (and maybe some treats), she’ll allow you to exist in her presence… for now.”

(At the cafe, we’ve found fun toys to be a great way to bribe for her approval too!)
